Only been here a few times but wow what an amazing view especially at night...
I take my kids to the main restaurant since they aren’t allowed in the bar area. It is much more expensive but the view is worth it. Thank you!
Best view the city, although a bit overpriced as a result of the location. Food and drink quality is excellent, but again, a little more expensive than necessary. Happy hour is where it's at, though.
Food is ok. Has one of the best views in town where you can enjoy your lunch and desert. If you haven’t been to Portland before, it’s a great excuse to come and check out Big Pink a.k.a the US Bank building which is probably one of the nicest office buildings in the city. This place would be good if you’re trying to impress someone.
I wish I could rate 6 stars! Being a Portland native, I have always loved PCG! I’ve celebrated graduations, birthdays, and romantic dates with partners over many years. But when I found out that this company delivers through Grubhub due to the pandemic, I was BLOWN AWAY. It’s obvious that the entire staff still put in the love and effort even when the customer is away. Fresh food that tasted AMAZING, and was packaged with care. If you’re ever unhappy with your food, I highly recommend being direct with the staff to make you a new plate. They will always be happy to do so, because they’re super proud of the establishment. Thank you PCG from your long-standing Portland fan! Let’s keep this business going y’all!
Portland city grill super amazing!!! the chef And the host amazing people. We showed up at 8:19 p.m. , Mind you they close at 8:30 myself and my 8 and a 1/2 months pregnant friend. The chef turn the grill back on because we told them that she was craving for steak and seafood. Thank You very much Portland city grill For your hospitality.
Good food, amazing views, slightly overpriced, but it's an experience.
Excellent service. Arrived 45 minutes til closing and the staff was very friendly. Accommodating to special food requests. The views of Portland are some of the best in the city. Will definitely return.
Went here for my anniversary, reserved a table, and when we arrived we were seated window side overlooking the city. Our server was tentive and personable. He even showed me how to crack open a lobster tail. Hands off, of course. Our food was fresh and of course delicious, the servings were big enough that we didn't need to order desert even though we were tempted. Portland City Grill is following safety guidelines in regards the pandemic. All servers and staff are wearing masks, as well as their customers, of course up until we are seated or we are ready to eat. I would recommend PCG to anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion, or simply wants to have a night out with their partner.
Their covid experince was different but it worked. Missed the green card.
This is a high end experience that every couple should try at least once. Nestled on the 30th floor you have gorgeous views of the city. Make a reservation and ask how early you need to be to score a window table. Nearly every table had cute couples celebrating anniversaries and such. The food is higher priced for sure, but when we went they were more than happy to split our calamari appetizer and halibut dinner. I can begin to tell you how delicious the food was... such flavors and presentation fit for a King or your Queen.
I went to find a great view of the city and enjoyed some happy hour drinks. I didn't want brunch but sat at the bar and had salmon cakes which were very tasty but small. Service was excellent and I got there shortly after if opened so I could take pictures of the city before others arrived!
This place like so many others has changed, probably due to Covid. The happy hour menu is not as good as it used to be and while the service was satisfactory, it was not exemplary as it was in the past. All this probably explains why we were able to get a window seat late in the afternoon. The place used to be jammed at that time. However, the view is still fantastic and the prices are still high.
Great view, amazing food and excellent service!
Gentleman, any ladies top date night spot. A fun spot for a fun night.
We came for our anniversary and even put that in our reservations maybe they’re not making anything special because of covid but we weren’t helped for over 15 minutes the sent water and then when a server came they went to the table behind us even though we had been there first and waiting longer than them. My steak was horrible tough and not good flavor. Will not be coming back way too expensive for gross food and terrible service.
The view was fabulous. The food, not so much. The cioppino and chicken Marsala were way too sweet. We mentioned this to the waiter but it didn’t seem to matter. We were very disappointed and we’ll go to a different restaurant for our next special occasion.
Good location for Seafood. It was so appetizing. I will be back with my coworkers.
This place offers extraordinary service and yummy menu. One of my favourite spots ever. The drinks and food came out fast and the prices are economical. Highly recommended.
Fantastic dinner with my family. Our server was delightful and knowledgeable about the menu and provided us with the perfect recommendations. The halibut and pork chop dinner is a must have!
First time back in a couple years. One of my favorite places for happy hour. Everything was great my only issue was asking if they could turn a chicken marsalla into a picatta. Our server said they didn't have capers. Maybe they were out for the night, but one of their dishes had capers in it so they should have it. I had the halibut though and it was delicious. Wife had the pork chop and said it was really good as well. They gave us a cupcake for our anniversary which was cool cause we didn't really want dessert so it was a tiny bite. Overall great time. I'd do 4.5 but not an option.
This is the gold standard to comapre against.
The food and drinks were really good, and fresh. The wait staff went over and above. They made an extra effort to get us a table by the window, which was really nice because it was our anniversary. Easy access, off street under ground parking (enter parking garage from SW Pine) with free validation. Even though downtown Portland is kinda sketchy at this time, it's a safe access to this famous Portland restaurant. And the view? Breathtaking!
Good food, service, and view.
Very nice place
Had a good experience at the restaurant, but that would quickly take a 180. I got horrendous food poisoning from their nightly surf and turf special. $95 food poisoning.
Apparently even when you make a reservation as instructed, the walk ins are entitled to a window view before the reservations. We had to sit in the middle of the room where we could barely see the view. Then told if we wanted a window seat we would have to wait 30min-1hour. So whats the point of the reservation? Also, the menu online is not the same as the resturant menu- their current menu is short. Ended up having a salad appetizer as a meal because I don't eat steak and seafood...thought we viewed the menu online and i was covered, but got here and the entree i chose was not on the menu.. Very disappointing!
I often take my friends to this place with my warmest recommendations. I go their often. I get very good feedback from my friends. The meals are appetizing and the team is generous and cooperative. Every time we visit this place we pass a lovely evening. warmly recommended.
Wow! No wonder that PCG has such a high rating!!!! Service excellent! Food was perfect!!! Glad I listened to reviews! Covid response perfect!
This site is my number one restaurant. Of all restaurants I know I love it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to visit this place. when I I need a special lunchon, this place comes instantly to my head. Great and all kinds of food and a rich menu.generous staff, and nice atmosphere. Not less important, the pay is reasonable. I sent my friends to this spot with no doubt.
Its the view, food's top notch, but it's the view, that makes all the difference.
Happy Hours menu great selections with food and drinks . The view would be hard to beat.
Took my wife here for her birthday and we were both satisfied. Kung Pao Calamari is a very tasty starter. Chicken marsala was cooked to perfection and my wife really enjoyed her pork chop.
Food and service were great! Thank you!
The setting of course, is stunning. The waitstaff and team are perfectly poised to attend your needs without being overbearing, and the food is sumptuous without being too expensive.
New to Portland Oregon and had to find a quick spot to take the wife for her birthday dinner. Asking around, was Recommended PCG. Building was under construction so finding the front door was interesting. Navigating all the homeless, panhandlers, crazies, and boarded up stores. We found the front lobby, took the elevator to the top. Doors open to a dimly lit corridor where we we're greeted by a very nice individual who found our resorvations immediately. Led to our table, a nice window table overlooking the elusive city of Portland. We choose an earlier time to have dinner so we could watch the sun set. It was a very beautiful view. Inside the restaurant itself very low key and elegant. Our waiter Izzy was extremely professional. Very knowledgeable about all products being served and within 20 minutes our drinks and apptizer were on the table. 25 minutes after that our main courses. I went with the Wagyu Ribeye. Which was amazing, a bit costly but big enough to bring some left overs home haha. Our experience in total was amazing, we will definitely be recommending and returning for future occasions. Thank you PCG for keeping it 100% professional.
Beautiful from the service to the food... I can't wait to come back.
Delicious appetizers and great drinks! They made me my favorite alcoholic drinks virgin for me because im pregnant! Made my night!
The food is decent.
I liked the fact that everyone was practicing social distance here and had proper ppe. The waiter was super nice and wanted to make sure we had everything needed and was comfortable. The happy hour menu has changed since I last visited. The fries were a bit different then before, but tasty. The sliders and brussel sprouts were excellent. I also liked my elderflower greyhound as it was very refreshing. Overall, a great experience and good time spent.
Great service and great food. Somewhat worth the cost. I used to go to this place years ago just for happy hours. The food was ok, but ,in my opinion, it seemed to be over priced even for the view. It was much better this time. But the quality of the food remained ok still. I would recomend this place if you are looking for a fancy place with a quality of service. Oh I have to mention that the Appetizers we had were fantastic. Crab cakes and kong pao(?) calamari. But I had a better pork chop at Mother's bistro before.
Great view! The drinks are worth the price, my favorite cocktail was "southern sour". Food is decent, the only item that I did not like were the lamb sliders.
High quality food, great views, good service. Worth the $$$. Highly recommend the brunch!
Excellent spot for Seafood. Visited on Fri I believe. Kinda of like a place in Houston that I enjoyed.
My top spot for quality seafood. Service is typically great. I can see why they have a lot of positive reviews.
Great experience! Awesome!
The best of the best. My steak was prepared perfectly and my lobster was to die for. Definitely going back when I visit Portland again!
Great views and good seafood. We went for dinner, but happy hour is famous too!
It was outstanding! My wife of mere hours reserved a window table with our daughters and enjoyed exemplary service from Shane! He was efficient, and friendly. We had some genuine back and forth about all our experiences with locations other than Portland and we all agree that Portland's climate was consistently superior... Like the food! The salad, the soup, the entrees and the drinks. All of it was top notch! Dress up when you go! They do great work and the staff is extremely professional. I can't say enough. If you want to feel top shelf them head to the top floor. There's a reason the elevator has a button with there name on it.
The meals and service were beyond my expectations. I really liked the ambience of this spot. Fantastic place to take my family out for lunch.
